Portrait of the statue of James Joyce was to bring him back to life with the background painted in swirls of small strokes of paint depicting autumn around his grave at Fluntern cemetery in Zurich, the statue of Joyce in a seated position with his cane and having a cigarette and was sculpted by American artist Milton Hebald.
