ABOUT ME
After leaving art college I worked as a commercial artist for nearly twenty years using the medium, watercolour and gouache before becoming an oil painter after we moved to SW France in early 2004.
I joined 'Association des Peintres du Gaillacois' in my local town Gaillac. I painted two solo exhibitions when we were there over a three years period.
Oil paint was a freeing medium for me as it does not have the artist restrictions of gouache. On returning to Dublin I continued to paint in oils.
I am spending more and more time painting in the city, 'en plein air', and Dublin is becoming my studio and my new challenge. There was a Dublin Plein Air festival this year 2017.
Lets see where painting Dublin takes me, inspired by Dublin's architecture and the words of Irish writers in bringing life to our city.
